Press Release from Carey Olsen, Friday 22 November, 2024.
Carey Olsen is pleased to announce that associate Danielle Naseem has joined the firm’s employment team in Guernsey.
Danielle joins from another offshore law firm in Guernsey, where she gained extensive experience advising on a wide range of contentious and non-contentious employment matters for both individuals and corporations.
Danielle graduated with a law degree from the University of KwaZulu-Natal in South Africa in 2015 and trained at the Durban office of a global law firm. Following her admission in 2017, she remained as an associate in the dispute resolution team specialising in employment law.
Danielle commented: “I am thrilled to be joining Carey Olsen in its leading employment practice. I look forward to contributing to the firm’s continued growth and providing pragmatic legal advice to its extensive client base. I am also personally delighted to be working with Carly again, and to be an integral part of a reputable, busy and growing top tier employment practice.”
Carly Parrott, Head of Employment for the firm’s Guernsey practice, said: “Danielle is an excellent addition to our employment team in Guernsey. We are very excited to welcome her to the team and I look forward to working with her again. We now have an exceptionally strong Channel Island employment team, and I am very much looking forward to growing the practice and ensuring that our employment team remains Tier 1.”
Earlier this year, Carly Parrott returned to Carey Olsen to lead the firm’s expanding employment team in Guernsey. The Guernsey team, which now includes Carly, partner Elaine Gray, partner Mark Dunster, associate Kim Courtney, and newest member Danielle Naseem, offers advice on a full range of contentious and non-contentious employment matters.
Consistently ranked Tier 1 in The Legal 500, Chambers UK and IFLR, Carey Olsen’s employment practice in Guernsey advises many of the largest businesses on the island, and also supports smaller businesses, senior executives and employees, working in partnership with its clients. The team also works closely with industry associations and government bodies to develop new and existing employment legislation.
